DEAL OR NO DEAL REVIEW

The Deal or No Deal Live Casino game is a one-of-a-kind live game show released by Evolution in 2019. The game is the world’s first 24/7 live game show and is a unique take on the world-famous hit TV show of the same name. Deal or No Deal offers intriguing and suspenseful gameplay, giving players a chance to win some prize money in one of the briefcases — or strike a deal with the Banker.

ABOUT DEAL OR NO DEAL

If you’re from the United Kingdom or the United States, then you may have heard of Deal or No Deal! The original Dutch show — Miljoenenjacht — was produced by a French content production company Endemol Shine (purchased by Banijay in 2020).

The show takes place in a lively game studio with one or two hosts, and the game is centred around the main round, which is played with up to 26 cases (or boxes). Each case contains a random amount of money, and the selected contestant is assigned one of the cases without knowing its contents.

The player then chooses other cases, one at a time, to be opened and removed. The Banker will step in throughout the game to offer prizes or an amount of money to entice the player to quit while asking the titular question — “Deal or no deal?”.

Players can choose to keep their case and eliminate all others, opting to keep the contents of the original case. In some adaptations, the player can also swap their case or box for the last remaining one.

The popularity of this game show stretches far beyond the UK and US, as there are over 50 adaptations in countries all over the world. For example, the show is known as ‘Grasz czy nie grasz’ in Poland, and ‘Deal or No Deal — Die Show der Glücksspirale’ in Germany.

DEAL OR NO DEAL — EVOLUTION

Although heavily inspired by the famous TV show, when Evolution (formerly Evolution Gaming) conceptualised Deal or No Deal, the team envisioned a Live Casino experience unlike any other. To bring that vision to life, the provider teamed up with none other than Endemol Shine — the company behind the original Deal or No Deal TV show.

Evolution’s Deal or No Deal is a live-dealer game hosted in online casinos across the globe. While the game differs slightly from its TV counterparts, the premise remains the same — players work their way through the game rounds while guessing which deals are worth taking and which are not.

In the Deal or No Deal Live Casino game, players must first qualify by participating in a timed Qualification round. If there’s still time on the clock after qualifying, players have the option to top up a briefcase for a chance to win more.

When the game begins, the host will gradually eliminate the briefcases until only two remain. At the end of each game round, the Banker will present the player with an offer — it’s up to you to decide whether or not it’s worth grabbing.

There’s no guarantee that the final case will have the best prize, and it very well may be that the Banker offered a more lucrative deal earlier in the game. In other words, it’s possible to win even if you take the deal and quit early!

DEAL OR NO DEAL GAMEPLAY

Once you get the hang of it, playing Deal or No Deal is relatively simple. The game is broken into two stages: Qualification and the Main Game. The latter is further split into four game rounds, each accompanied by an offer from the Banker.

QUALIFICATION STAGE

To qualify for the live Deal or No Deal game, players must successfully break through the three-reel bank vault. The vault wheel has silver and gold segments; align three gold segments in the wheel’s top sector to proceed to the Top Up round.

The cost of the spins is determined by the player’s bet, and it is possible to improve the odds of making it to the next stage! To do so, adjust your bet settings to ‘Easy’, ‘Very Easy’ or ‘Instant’. Switching to Easy will lock one gold segment in place, Very Easy will lock in two, and three will be locked on Instant, giving you instant access to the next stage.

If you choose one of these options instead of playing on the ‘Normal’ setting, your bet value will increase 3x on Easy, 9x on Very Easy and 18x on Instant. Instant access is not available at all online casinos.

The Qualification round takes place as soon as one Deal or No Deal game concludes and is active anytime a Deal or No Deal game is in progress.

BRIEFCASES

The game is played with 16 briefcases; cases 1-8 are on the left of the screen, and 9-16 are on the right. When the Qualification stage is in progress, players can choose one of the 16 briefcases as the designated biggest-prize briefcase.

All vault wheel spins will contribute 75-100x the bet to the value of the briefcase. The briefcase will be in play during the Main Game, but the number you select doesn’t impact your likelihood of winning, as all outcomes are random.

If you don’t choose one of the briefcases, the 16th case will be selected automatically.

TOP UP WHEEL

In the optional Top Up round, players can spin a wheel to increase the cash amount in a briefcase of their choice by 5-50x the bet. To top up a case, simply select your preferred bet value and spin the wheel.

This stage is only accessible once a player has qualified, before the next Deal or No Deal game begins. If you qualify at the last second, you may not get the chance to spin the Top Up wheel.

MAIN GAME — DEAL OR NO DEAL?

The main event takes place in a live studio with two hosts and the mysterious Banker. The main Deal or No Deal host calls for action and guides the rounds, the second host reveals the contents of each briefcase, and the Banker remains unseen.

FIRST OPENING AND OFFER

In the first round, three random cases are opened, leaving 13 for the next game phase. Once all three cases have been opened, the Banker will make their first offer.

Choose between ‘DEAL’ or ‘NO DEAL’ to proceed. If you accept the deal, the amount will be added to your balance, and you can return to the Qualification round to try and make it to the next game.

If you click ‘NO DEAL’ then you will continue to play. If you don’t select either of the options, the game will automatically select ‘NO DEAL’.

SECOND OPENING AND OFFER

In the second opening round, four more cases are opened and eliminated from the game, leaving nine cases in play. After all four have been opened, you will be presented with another offer.

THIRD OPENING AND OFFER

Similarly to the second round, four more cases are opened in the third round. Another offer is made; players can choose ‘DEAL’ to pocket the proposed amount and quit or ‘NO DEAL’ to keep playing with the five remaining briefcases.

FOURTH OPENING AND FINAL OFFER

During the fourth and last stage of the game, three more briefcases are opened by the host. With only two briefcases remaining in play, you will receive one final offer; this time, you can take ‘DEAL’, ‘NO DEAL’ or ‘SWITCH BRIEFCASES’.

Then, one of the last two cases is opened; if you took the deal, you would leave with the offer in your pocket. If you didn’t take the deal, you would win the prize money associated with your assigned briefcase. If you opted to switch the briefcases, you win the cash in the other briefcase.

The game concludes, and all players can try their hand at qualifying vault spins once more.

DEAL OR NO DEAL STRATEGY & RTP

The most important thing to keep in mind when playing this live game show is your betting strategy. There are two stages in which you can increase the in-play cash through your bets, and it can be tempting to do so. Keep a close eye on your bets and review your options — topping up may not always be in your favour.

While Deal or No Deal is an excellent game, a betting strategy that relies on progression or streaks won’t get you far. There is simply no strategy you can reliably follow to guarantee consistent results; thus, your best strategy is solid bankroll management.

To win the game’s largest payouts, players need to bet large amounts of cash too, and there is no guarantee that the grand prize will be won at the end of the game. You can try your luck and wait for the final offer, but in most cases accepting an earlier deal is far more lucrative.

The theoretical Deal or No Deal RTP is 95.42%. Gambling is always a risk; please play responsibly.

BONUSES AND SPECIAL FEATURES IN DEAL OR NO DEAL

When it comes to bonus features, casino games like Deal or No Deal can run dry. You won’t find free vault spins or free spins on the Top Up wheel, but several smaller bonus features can improve your experience.

The first is the option to increase your chances of qualifying by purchasing locked-in vault segments. Although you’re putting more cash on the line, you are also boosting your odds of making it to the main event.

Next, you can choose to increase the cash value in a briefcase of your choice. This is entirely optional, and you can increase the cash value simply by increasing your bet and spinning the wheel.

You may also be eligible to claim a casino bonus. Bonus rewards come in many shapes and sizes and can often be used on Live Casino games like live roulette, live blackjack, live baccarat, live poker and Deal or No Deal. Have a look at our ‘Promotions’ page to see if you can benefit from a fantastic Welcome Bonus at LV BET!

THE VERDICT

As another ground-breaking release from Evolution, live Deal or No Deal is the pinnacle of Live Casino gaming. Although the RTP is less than favourable, the dynamic game more than makes up for it with suspenseful and intriguing game rounds. There aren’t many bonus features, but players can use some of the game’s core features to increase the likelihood of walking away with some extra cash.

GAME RULES

The Deal or No Deal online casino game is a 2019 release by Evolution (formerly Evolution Gaming), one of the world’s leading Live Casino providers.
